Starting from April 2012 First Class passengers of Lufthansa may savor a very special treat: Nectar Dei IGT Maremma Toscana vintage 2007 has been awarded after a blind-tasting the great honor to be selected for the exclusive wine-list of the airline's First Class. This extraordinary cuvee of Cabernet, Merlot, Syrah and Petit Verdot delighted the jury led by Master of Wine Markus del Monego. His sensory qualities - which remain intact even on a 35.000 feet altitude - harmonize with ease and elegance with the refined dishes of Michelin star-cook Leonardo Concezzi. The Super-Tuscan Nectar Dei 2007 produced by Fattoria Nittardi is a natural treasure of the earth, but enchants also on long-haul flights. Nectar Dei 2007 has aged 16 months in French oak barriques. The sun-kissed Maremman cuvee is a concentrated and full-bodied wine with a complex balance of notes of vanilla, tobacco, coffee, spices, pink pepper and blackberries.
