Varietal: Sangiovese 95%, Merlot 5%
Soil: Soil of medium depth, rich with schist-like galestro and albarese stones
Production: Fermentation in 10.5-ton stainless steel tanks, followed by 24 months of aging in French barrique and tonneaux, a few month in a single concrete vat and a subsequent six months of bottle aging.
Profile: Deep ruby red, intensive notes of ripe fruit and hints of vanilla and chocolate on the nose; silky tannins, complex, full and balanced on the palate. Excellently suited to meat dishes, roast lamb, wild boar and ossobuco. Best served at approx. 18° C (64.5° F); uncork and decant 2 hours before serving.
